The Director of Sales & Marketing is primarily responsible for leading & driving top line revenue strategy for traditional sales related segments to include group, volume transient & catering. The individual is additionally responsible for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement and ongoing competitive hotel analysis, while directing the property sales teams (rooms & catering) to insure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded. The Director of Sales & Marketing is also responsible for developing and implementing a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning for the hotel, as well as managing the sales and marketing budget that supports revenue attainment.
The Engineer, Level 1, is responsible for ensuring that the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times and that all equipment are in good working order with the least amount of inconvenience to customers and employees.
The Complex Revenue Analyst works directly with the Director of Revenue to maximize hotel revenue through daily management of room inventory and pricing across all segments. In this role you will help develop and recommend room rates and availability strategies to optimize the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels. In addition, this position will be responsible for driving analysis, compiling reports and developing models to support better decisions across the business.

This position is responsible for attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations, and overseeing compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, and unemployment programs. The Director will also lead the design and execution of training and development initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, providing guidance on coaching, counseling, and disciplinary matters. This role is critical in fostering a positive, high-performance workplace culture aligned with the property’s values and operational goals.

Direct booking and detailing of small meeting and room blocks for various clients to include both corporate and social clientele. Maximizes profitability and revenue of the hotel by upselling in order to achieve sales goals.
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering division. In the absence of the Director, the assistant will assume the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining accurate and timely financial resporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and Highgate Hotels Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners/investors assets. For this role, the emphais is placed on the management of Payroll, Income Audit and Accounts Receivable processing and collections
The House Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guestrooms (express checkout, newspapers – property specific, etc.).
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for staffing qualified personnel; ensuring employment statute compliance; overseeing all aspects of wage, benefit, worker’s compensation unemployment; training program direction, implementation and administration; and employee relations coaching, counseling and discipline.

The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.
The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the complimentary breakfast area of a hotel.
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.
The Director of Catering and Confernce Services is responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and sustaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. They must have a strong knowledge of weddings and understand the importance of prospecting in creating new sales opportunities for the hotel. They are also responsible to coordinate and service client functions to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining profitable operations and high quality products and service levels. Candidates must be comfortable in problem solving with client relationships and event management.
The Senior Conference Services Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising assigned business after it is booked by the Group Sales department, and through completion of the event or function, while maintaining profitable operations and high quality food and beverage presentations and service levels. Position is primarily Meetings and Corporate Event focused. The Senior Conference Services Manager is responsible for acting as a liaison between clients and operating departments to ensure a successful meeting and to generate repeat business.

This role plays a critical leadership function in driving commercial performance, providing strategic direction to property-level Directors of Sales & Marketing, and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. Key responsibilities include monitoring market trends, analyzing competitive positioning, and identifying opportunities for market share growth. This newly created additional position reports directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing, with a dotted-line relationship to the SVP of Operations – New York and serves as the senior sales & marketing leader for the assigned portfolio.
