Overview

Reporting to the VP, Financial Systems Optimization & Training, the Director, Financial Systems will play a critical role in the day-to-day management and optimization of the company’s financial systems. This individual will serve as a hands-on leader responsible for executing system improvement initiatives, supporting technology implementations, and delivering training programs that enhance the finance team’s capabilities. The Director will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure financial systems operate efficiently, maintain data integrity, and align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support VP of Financial Systems Optimization & Training and Business System Owners with the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of financial systems including Oracle Fusion ERP, Blackline, BirchStreet, Apex Supplier Portal, Dayforce GL, and other SOC1 in-scope applications.
  • Execute financial systems optimization initiatives as directed by the VP, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on financial system functionality, configuration, and best practices.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs and materials for finance team members on existing and newly implemented systems.
  • Perform quarterly user reviews for all systems in-scope of SOC1 audit, and remediate as necessary
  • Partner with IT, finance, and operations teams to troubleshoot system issues, implement enhancements, and ensure data accuracy and security.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new financial technologies and system upgrades.
  • Act as a key liaison with field employees to identify on-property system issues and develop solutions through process improvements or targeted training.
  • Assist in change management efforts related to system rollouts, upgrades, and process changes.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and prepare reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant external regulations across all financial systems.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures and system governance frameworks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems administration, optimization, or a related role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP, Blackline, BirchStreet, Apex Supplier Portal, Dayforce GL, and other SOC1 in-scope systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing system implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Position will be based in the corporate office in Irving, TX.
  • Position will require 10% - 15% travel.
