Overview

The Marketing Coordinator must be creative, self-sufficient and highly organized, with a strong interest in hospitality marketing and communications. This role reports directly to and supports the EVP of Marketing & Communications and works closely with senior marketing, communications and other partners to execute company marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. This role requires hands-on execution across reporting, digital channels, social media and communications support, while developing foundational project management skills and exposure to executive-level marketing and communications strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct support to the EVP of Marketing & Communications across marketing and communications initiatives
  • Collaborates with the EVP and internal partners to develop, maintain and manage a social media content calendar
  • Executes social media posting, community engagement, monitoring and performance reporting across designated platforms
  • Coordinates with Highgate’s PR solution to consolidate media coverage, maintain coverage trackers and assemble regular reporting
  • Supports crisis communications and other sensitive communications efforts through research, documentation, coordination and logistics
  • Assists with drafting, formatting and distributing communications including internal updates, reactive responses and briefing materials
  • Creates and assembles monthly, quarterly and ad hoc marketing and communications reports
  • Organizes and gathers content, assets and inputs from property and corporate teams to support campaigns, communications and reporting
  • Supports development and execution of direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns and channel activations
  • Partners with the design team to coordinate property collateral and asset development requests
  • Provides light project management support by tracking timelines, approvals and deliverables across marketing and communications initiatives
  • Maintains organized repositories for assets, reports, calendars and documentation to ensure continuity and efficiency
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and supports documentation of workflows and best practices
  • Gains exposure to strategic planning, executive communications and cross-functional collaboration as part of a growth-oriented role

 

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in a marketing or communications coordinator or support role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience executing social media campaigns and managing social platforms
  • Competency in Adobe design programs; graphic design experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with average or better knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while taking direction when provided
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on evolving priorities and business needs
