Hyatt Regency Times Square is perfectly located in the heart of Times Square excitement, situated directly on Broadway between 48th and 49th Streets. This iconic, ultra-modern, full-service hotel is surrounded by Broadway theaters and close to world-famous shopping and sightseeing. The hotel has 795 modern, newly renovated guestrooms. 

Overview

Highgate Hotels is seeking a strategic and dynamic Complex Director of Marketing to lead marketing efforts across a cluster of three hotels in New York. This role is responsible for both the strategic direction and operational execution of marketing—balancing brand positioning, creative storytelling, and performance-driven initiatives to drive visibility, guest engagement, and commercial impact. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative vision, data acumen, and hospitality expertise, with the ability to guide teams across sales, marketing, and digital disciplines. This role requires a cross-functional leader with strong commercial instincts, deep experience in lifestyle positioning, and a proven ability to execute integrated plans that deliver measurable results. This role reports directly to the General Manager for property-level accountability and performance, while also reporting to the EVP, Head of Marketing for strategic marketing discipline, functional development, and portfolio-wide alignment. The EVP will also help guide prioritization and time allocation across the three hotels to ensure focus is aligned with strategic needs and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage omnichannel marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion across Rooms, F&B and Outlets.
  • Translate commercial objectives into creative marketing strategies that support direct bookings, programming, and guest loyalty.
  • Localize initiatives that support key business drivers such as F&B, events, and programming while preserving brand consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales leaders across the three hotels to develop marketing support plans that directly contribute to lead generation, conversion, and revenue growth.
  • Create targeted B2B campaigns, group sales collateral, and sales enablement tools that align with market trends and commercial goals.
  • Support key segments such as corporate, group, and event sales through content development, branded pitch decks, and tailored promotions.
  • Ensure alignment between brand storytelling and commercial strategy, helping drive qualified demand across both leisure and business channels.
  • Participate in regular business reviews and need-period strategy sessions to proactively identify marketing-driven opportunities to support pace and market share growth.
  • Oversee CRM strategy, email campaigns, SEO, SEM, website performance, and paid media to ensure channel efficiency and return on ad spending.
  • Partner with revenue, e-commerce, and analytics teams to interpret KPIs and drive decisions that improve acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Monitor competitive performance and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Lead social media strategy, content calendars, and influencer activations for all three hotels to grow engagement and amplify brand voice.
  • Manage PR agencies and guides earned media efforts, including press announcements, media stays, and editorial pitching.
  • Cultivate lifestyle and brand partnerships that enhance guest experience and elevate the hotel’s profile within key verticals (e.g. wellness, fashion, culture).
  • Collaborate with F&B, events, and creative teams to idea, support, and market seasonal programming, pop-ups, and hotel-led cultural moments.
  • Ensure campaigns and experiences are brand-aligned, culturally relevant, and revenue-impacting.
  • Lead the marketing function across the complex, working closely with general managers, operations, culinary, and commercial teams to execute plans effectively.
  • Directly manage Marketing Managers at the property level, providing mentorship, strategic direction, and ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Serve as primary marketing contact for ownership and asset managers, delivering regular reporting on strategy, performance, and ROI.
  • Manage external agencies and freelancers across PR, digital, creative, and content production.
  • Own the complex-wide sales & marketing budget, including planning, allocations, and optimization across properties and channels.
  • Build standardized playbooks, timelines, and tools to ensure efficient execution across all three hotels.
  • Track and report on marketing performance, campaign ROI, and guest engagement KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of on-property marketing experience within luxury or lifestyle hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, content strategy, and brand storytelling.
  • Proven ability to turn creative ideas into results-driven campaigns.
  • Experience managing agencies, marketing budgets, and executive-level communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM, digital platforms, CMS systems, and analytics tools.
  • Prior experience supporting multiple properties or working in a complex environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
