Overview

Highgate Hotels’ Lifestyle & Luxury Division seeks a visionary Marketing Director to lead omnichannel strategies that elevate brand equity, drive topline growth, and engage modern travelers. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative storytelling, digital fluency, data-driven decision-making, and hospitality marketing expertise, particularly across lifestyle, F&B, and experiential verticals. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a leader who can build strong cross-functional partnerships while managing seamless execution across digital, social, PR, partnerships, and guest experience touchpoints. The Marketing Director will be pivotal in supporting a diverse portfolio through new openings, transitions, and repositionings, ensuring cohesive brand integration and successful market entry.

 

Responsibilities

Integrated Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning

  • Lead omnichannel campaigns integrating digital, social, PR, content, and partnerships to drive brand visibility and guest engagement.
  • Craft compelling brand narratives and content strategies aligned with luxury positioning.
  • Partner with hotel teams to develop localized initiatives that support revenue growth and differentiation.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new property builds, openings, and brand transitions, ensuring cohesive brand integration and market entry success.​
  • Foster strong relationships with property teams and owners, collaborating closely to align marketing strategies with ownership goals and expectations and providing regular campaign performance and ROI updates.

Performance & Digital Marketing

  • Oversee SEO, paid media, CRM, and email strategies to improve acquisition and retention.
  • Use guest segmentation and performance insights to optimize marketing ROI.
  • Drive lifecycle marketing efforts that increase direct bookings and guest lifetime value.​

Social Media, Influencer, & PR

  • Lead social media strategy and content development to build brand community.
  • Manage influencer collaborations to amplify brand messaging.
  • Work closely with PR teams on earned media, thought leadership, and editorial storytelling.​ 

Strategic Partnerships & Experiential Marketing

  • Cultivate brand partnerships that enhance guest experience and hotel positioning.
  • Curate activations and pop-ups that tap into cultural trends and lifestyle moments.
  • Partner with F&B, programming, and creative teams to build brand-led destination drivers.​

Marketing Operations & Budget Management

  • Oversee marketing budgets, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Build marketing playbooks and standard operating procedures to support cross-functional alignment for campaign management.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis and performance reporting to optimize future strategies.​

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field, coupled with 5-10 years in luxury or lifestyle hospitality or premium consumer brands, including demonstrated success in developing go-to-market strategies for new property launches and brand transitions.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with property owners, aligning marketing initiatives with ownership objectives, and effectively communicating performance metrics and strategic insights.
  • Integrated Marketing Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.​
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to optimize performance and inform decision-making.​
  • Trend Anticipation: Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate market trends and proactively adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.​
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, including Sales, Revenue, F&B, Operations, and Creative, to ensure cohesive execution of marketing initiatives. Effective collaboration across departments enhances efficiency and drives innovation.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Ability to inspire and manage teams and agency partners, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.​
  • Professional Networking: Maintains a robust professional network within the hospitality industry, including connections with media, brand partners, and influencers. Leveraging these relationships enhances brand visibility and opens opportunities for strategic partnerships

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CMS and digital tools is a plus.​
