Overview

 

The Director of Learning and Development (L&D) is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies that enhance employee performance, leadership development, and organizational growth. This role will oversee training programs, career development initiatives, and leadership training, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives.

Program Development: Design, implement, and manage leadership development programs, technical skills training, and career pathing initiatives.

Learning Technology: Oversee the selection and implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

Training & Facilitation: Lead workshops, seminars, and coaching sessions to enhance leadership and employee skills.

Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, HR, and department heads to identify learning needs and solutions.

Assessment & Measurement: Track the effectiveness of training programs through metrics, feedback, and performance improvements.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective training solutions.

Diversity & Inclusion: Promote inclusive learning practices that support a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and leadership development.

Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.

Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.

Ability to analyze data and measure training effectiveness.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in L&D (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, ATD Certification).

Experience with digital learning strategies

Background in change management and organizational development.

Previous experience in luxury hotel environment
