Overview

The Construction Administrator manages construction contracts, ensures compliance with insurance and licensing requirements, and supports document distribution and vendor setup. They will assist with bonding, maintain project data, prepare draw packages, and support accounts payable and special projects. Knowledge of the construction contractual process is essential for managing and executing the accounting operations relating to new development and renovations projects.

 

This position is onsite based from our offices in Fargo, ND.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing & managing all AIA contracts between various parties 
  • Help ensure all insurance requirements are met for all parties 
  • Assist in receiving, maintaining & distributing documents across the company
  • Assist with vendor setup within internal project management systems 
  • Provide support in all bonding efforts 
  • Assist in obtaining General Contractor licenses across the US 
  • Utilize construction management software and/or tracking systems to maintain project information
  • Support the preparation of monthly draw packages as needed
  • Assist with general AP & accounting duties as necessary 
  • Assist with special projects as assigned 
  • Knowledge of the construction contract process is required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in construction contract administration
  • Must possess effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
  • Able to work effectively under deadlines
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Experience with MS Office platforms
  • Experience with Procore platform a plus
  • Sage/TimberScan experience preferred
