    Overview

    The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive room and F&B sales through exposure as well as brand recognition and loyalty.  This strategy will encompass all channels including online and offline marketing, brand standards (both visual identity and standards within the hotel), CRM, social media, GDS, traditional PR campaigns on a national, local and international level, and advertising (print and digital).  This also includes guest communication communications and assistance with key partnerships, events & property programming.

    Responsibilities

    This position will report to the DOSM but will also work closely with our hotel leadership team, Leading Hotels of the World, Highgate Executive team, Field Marketing as well as with Charlie Palmer Group. 

     

    • Assist with Photo & Video Shoots
    • Coordinate the creation of in-house signage.
    • Curating PR events in collaboration with the Catering Leadership team.
    • Maintenance of website content.
    • Execute CRM & eBlasts timeline as detailed in the marketing plan. Database maintenance therein.
    • Brand Ambassador for Marketing FAM’s & media events
    • Maintain the execution and inventory of brand programs, such as Knick Kids, Knick Pets, Leaders Club etc.
    • Work with sales team to support goals through creation of b-to-b initiatives and offers.  This includes but is not limited to developing printed collateral to support direct sales team and guests. 
    • Creates and maintains quarterly promotional strategy calendar building off of goals laid out in annual business plan.
    • Creates monthly/quarterly reports and presentations to report ROI for marketing initiatives to share with corporate and ownership teams.
    • Work closely with food and beverage teams on property to support revenue generation and drive covers. Lead the messaging and marketing positioning of the hotel’s restaurant, bar, café and rooftop. Leverage outlets for offers to support position and drive revenue.
    • Works closely with revenue management to develop marketing strategies that align with rate strategy and occupancy needs.
    • Develop and manage effective marketing plans and materials
    • Website maintenance, including content development and content publishing
    • Create and manage influencer strategy and maintain influencer lists and relationships in tandem with PR Manager
    • Develop and oversee all promotions, special events, and holidays from start to finish 
    • Develop and manage all property-level strategic and local relationships
    • Analysis of marketing campaigns to develop a deeper level strategy
    • High level of engagement with local event/tourist/corporate community and the ability to create and build profitable partnerships.

    • Possess awareness of current food, drink and hospitality trends and incorporate those trends into marketing plans and outreach

    • Possess a working knowledge of the following marketing tools and platforms: Open Table, Hootsuite, EMMA (Email marketing platform), Yelp, Trip Advisor, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications (hospitality industry experience essential)
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual hotels, including ROI / KPI metrics 
    • Strong presentation and communications skills, proficiency with programs such as, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, After Affects, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with external and internal contacts (i.e. General Manager, Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Leaders, Regional Team, Media Representatives, Public Relations firms) 
    • Strong Creative Mind
    • Ability to organize exclusive events to the
    • Knowledge of social media marketing and content creation in programs such as Shortstack, Offerpop, Hootsuite, Wordpress, etc.
    • Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials
    • Ability to work proficiently quickly in a high-pressure & fast paced environmen
    • Exceptional with details and follow up
    • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
