Guests may lounge poolside in private cabanas or party with a Fire BOKX-- their own fire pit with BBQ served from the hotel's signature restaurant, BOKX 109 American Prime.

    The Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures the delivery of an exceptional Guest experience and the highest quality food and beverage offerings at the hotel’s food and beverage locations (Outlets). Experienced in leading and directing the work of others, this individual must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, be able to resolve guest and Team Member challenges expeditiously, and coach others to do so as well.


    The Assistant Restaurant Manager acts accordance with the Hotel Indigo's Service Promises, and provides additional assistance as requested in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.


    Duties and Functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

    • Consistently monitor service levels to ensure execution of seamless Guest dining experience
    • Consistently monitor food and beverage quality levels to ensure all standards of quality are upheld and all Team Members are in compliance with applicable laws/regulations
    • Provide effective feedback and coaching to Team Members as needed
    • Assist with training and/or cross-training Team Members as needed
    • Maintain a professional and high quality service-oriented environment at all times
    • Complete assigned shift tasks and duties within stated timelines
    • Perform other duties as requested by management

    General Requirements:

    • Demonstrate a warm, friendly, professional demeanor at all times  
    • Possess and display strong communication skills; able to effectively listen to, understand, and respond to Guest and Team Member questions or requests
    • Be flexible with their schedule when required by business demand and/or required meetings and training 
    • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, including anticipating Guest or operational needs
    • Comply with all Hotel (Boston Park Plaza) and Corporate (Highgate Hotels) Standards and Regulations set forth, so as to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations, including compliance with the Attendance Policy and Grooming/Appearance Policy 
    • Comply with all local and national food and beverage standards/laws as required



    Education & Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent  (a combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities) required
    • Previous supervisory/management experience required
    • Two years Food and Beverage Supervisory experience preferredPhysical Requirements:
    • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
    • Must be able to stand/walk the majority of shift
    • Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects as required
